What are 100% Remy Hair Extensions?

Not all hair extensions are created equal. “Remi” or “Remy” simply means that all of the strands of hair face the same direction and that the cuticle is still intact. You can be assured that the Weft is not synthetic if it’s described as Remy and is made of 100% human hair.

Remy hair is more natural looking due to the tedious process the hair goes through in order to not damage the cuticle, therefore, it’s also usually more expensive but has more versatility and durability. On the flip side, non-Remy hair does not have the roots aligned, and therefore requires a higher concentration of acid in order to process it. This eventually results in hair with very low moisture, less durability (<6months) and can lead to dry straw-like hair, which just simply is not a vibe.

  • Lasts longer, and can be styled/coloured

  • Our micro weft is called ‘micro’ for a good reason - it’s virtually undetectable. Many hair extensions have a ‘band’ where the hair is attached to, and which is then attached to your head. When this band is thicker (or wider), this can be uncomfortable and can also mean the weft is less malleable to the shape of your head. Our micro wefts have an extremely thin band, meaning they not only fit seamlessly with your hair (avoiding bulkiness that other sewn in weaves can have), but they are incredibly comfortable too.   • If taken care of properly, our Micro Weft hair extensions can last up to 3 years. We have a guide on caring for your hair extensions here.

  • We recommend measuring the inches from the top of your head with a tape measure. For example, our 18” micro wefts can fall differently on different people depending on their proportions. When in doubt, it’s best to always choose a longer length. This way your hairdresser or stylist can cut your extensions shorter.

  • You can try colour matching your extensions by eye, however if your hair is dyed, we recommend consulting your hairdresser. Our colours are coded with the official hairdressing colour codes, meaning your hairdresser can tell you what colour you will need to seamlessly blend your micro wefts with your existing colour.

Which length is right for me? Our 100% Remy Micro Weft hair extensions are available in 18", 22" and 26" lengths. While our 26" extensions can extend below the waist, this will vary from person to person, depending on your height and length of your torso and neck. For example, Erin (below) is 167cm tall. It’s also important to factor in how you plan to style your extensions — for example if you are hoping to create a long, high ponytail (think Ariana Grande), then you may need to consider our longer length extensions.
