What are 100% Remy Hair Extensions?
Not all hair extensions are created equal. “Remi” or “Remy” simply means that all of the strands of the hair face the same direction and that the cuticle is still intact. You can be sure that the weft is not synthetic if it’s described as Remy and is made of 100% human hair. Don’t get me wrong, I love to have me some synthetic things in my life 😉 but hair extensions are not one of them.
Remy hair is more natural looking due to the tedious process the hair goes through in order to not damage the cuticle, therefore, it’s also usually more expensive but has more versatility and durability. On the flip side, non-Remy hair does not have the roots aligned, and therefore requires a higher concentration of acid in order to process it. This eventually results in hair with very low moisture, less durability (<6months) and can lead to dry straw-like hair, which just simply is not a vibe.
What type of hair extensions do I need?
There are various reasons why you might want hair extensions.
